Founded in 2016, the Texas Trail Roundup is a noncompetitive international walking festival that encourages walking as a fitness activity to promote international understanding and friendships. It is held during the last weekend in February in San Antonio, Texas and features walks ranging from 5km to 42km.
The Texas Trail Roundup is a not-for-profit educational and charitable organization (a 501(c)((3))) and is a member of the American Volkssport Association (AVA), the International Federation of Popular Sport (IVV) and the IML Walking Association,
Membership is open to all individuals without regard to race, religion, sex, national or cultural origin, place of residence, economic circumstances, lifestyle or social status. All who volunteer their services, regardless of the amount of time, are considered members for the following year.
The Texas Trail Roundup meets the third Thursday of every month from 3:00-5:00 PM at AVA Headquarters,
1001 Pat Booker Road, Suite 101,
Universal City, TX 78148.
