We were a little nervous that the great gasoline panic of 2017 would keep folks away from our walk but we had 95 walkers show up, including walking friends from Austin, Kerrville, New Braunfels and Comfort. Plus, five first-time walkers! As you can see from the photo, the Japanese Tea Gardens are lovely and the weather was perfect (OK, a little hot, but still lovely.) Thanks for our friends at Jingu House for letting us set up the start point without charging us (we couldn’t have afforded it otherwise), for offering us a 10% discount at the restaurant and for inviting us back for another walk next year. Doesn’t get much better than this. If there was an award for having the prettiest start point, we’d win it, hands down. Can you see the koi in the pond?
