Should I Bring My Dog? Probably Not.

Although MOST of the walks on the Texas Trail Roundup are pet-friendly, if you do decide to bring your dog you will not be able to enter any buildings, which will limit your ability to enjoy everything the city has to offer.  With the exception of service animals, dogs are not permitted in the event hotel. Here, then, is a rundown of the pet-friendliness of the walks:

Friday, February 14
5 km – Yes (but not in the Alamo)
10 km  – Yes (but not in the Alamo)

Saturday, February 15
5 km – Yes (but they can’t go in park buildings or Mission Churches)
13 km – Yes (but they can’t go in park buildings or Mission Churches)
21 km – Yes (but they can’t go in park buildings or Mission Churches)
42 km- Yes (but pet are not permitted on the Yanaguana Trail at Mission San Juan, except for service dogs)

Sunday, February 16
6 km – Yes
13 km – Yes
21 km – Yes (but only service dogs are permitted in the Japanese Tea Gardens)

You must clean up after your pet.

Dogs, where permitted, must be leashed at all times.

It is against the law in San Antonio to leave a pet in a car unattended.
