Welcome to the Texas Trail Roundup, a premier three-day international walking festival hosted in the beautiful city of San Antonio, Texas. Each year, walkers from around the world come together to explore one of America’s most historic and culturally rich cities on foot. Whether you are an experienced walker or just starting out, you will experience San Antonio in a way few people ever do.
Three Days of Walks, Culture, and Celebration
- Day 1 (February 20): 50th Anniversary Walk in Fredericksburg, Texas.
- Day 2 (February 21): Choose between a 5k, 10k, half, and full
marathon walk through the heart of San Antonio and the missions, followed by a
fun social gathering on South Alamo Street. - Day 3 (February 22): Choose between a 5k, 10k and Half Marathon
Walk through the San Antonio River Walk, followed by a celebration and ending
ceremony at Beethoven Männerchor. - You can walk one, two, or all three days!
Celebrating 50 Years of Fun, Fitness, and Friendship
In 2026, we are honored to celebrate AVA, America’s Walking Club’s 50th Anniversary, recognizing fifty years of promoting fitness, fellowship, and lifelong adventure. The celebration begins on February 20, 2026, in Fredericksburg, Texas, with a welcoming Opening Ceremony and Friendship Walk to kick off this unforgettable weekend.
